Hi,
I am running Windows 2k on a desktop with an Orinoco PCI PCMCIA adapter and card. I am trying to connect an iPAQ which uses another Orinoco Card through a PCMCIA Expansion pack.
This setup used to work through older drivers (about December 2001) and Windows 98 - I was able to access a web server on the desktop and share an internet connection.
I spent the last couple of months travelling so when I got back I installed Windows 2000 on my desktop and upgraded all the drivers and client managers that I obtained on the Proxim website.
Now the Client manager in the iPAQ can identify a network under the "Site Monitor" and also recognise the desktop under the "Link Test" but I can't access the desktop web server through Internet Explorer or connect to the net via a proxy.
The Client manager on the desktop can't identify a network under the "Site Monitor" and also doesn't recognise the iPAQ under the "Link Test" - I can't ping the iPAQ either...
Now that I think of it I should try and dig out the old drivers and client manager but I think that may not work as all the cards have the latest firmware revisions...
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
