Use the web interface, it's much nicer. mvario 08-01-2003, 04:12 PM There are lots of good documents on the Cisco site itself. And there's always RouterGod http://www.routergod.com :D yubb 08-05-2003, 02:53 PM Is the CLI on the 1200 like the CLI on the 350 AP's and BR's? If so, I think that interface is pretty sweet. You don't need to know so much to configure an AP as you would a switch or router. It's easy to get in and change IP's and subnets quickly. At the same time, the web interface is pretty nice too. b3n. mvario 08-05-2003, 07:44 PM Originally posted by yubb Is the CLI on the 1200 like the CLI on the 350 AP's and BR's? Depends on the version. The 350's and some 1200's use the VxWorks firmware (1200 & 1220). Newer 1200s (1210 & 1230) use the Cisco IOS firmware. The Cisco IOS CLI is similar to the CLI on Cisco routers, the VxWorks CLI is completely different. You can upgrade VxWorks 1200's to IOS. There is supposed to be an IOS upgrade for the 350's near the end of the year. My understanding is that all new development/features will be for the IOS firmaware and the VxWorks will be EOL'd. wi-fiplanet.com
