Hello all.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I am interested in setting up a wi-fi isp (wisp) in a town near boston in massachusetts. I'm interested in breaking down the cost of this idea. I know there are many things to consider and some I realize already. I was wondering if anyone had succesfully set up a system like this:
5 mile radius of redundant coverage with as little dependance on any other proprietary software/hardware (ie. freeware with home brewed Wi-Fi units)
I've just started really doing my research on this idea, I'm just trying to get a basic idea of the infrastructure which would be neccessary. Any information or reccommendations would be greatly appreciated. Please be as general or as specific as you can! Thanks
