I currently have a Siemens SpeedStream 2623 - the older version which doesn't have removable antennas. It isn't a bad router, but there are parts of my house that don't quite get the reception I want them to - if any reception at all. My house isn't huge by any means - roughly 2200 sqft. Also given the logistics of the wiring in my house, moving the router out of the room it is currently in is not an option.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can improve performance?

TIA

It may seem obvious, but I'll say it anyway. How about buying/upgrading to a new AP that does have removable antennas and probably all kinds of other "cool" features that won't limit you in the future when you try to do something differnet?

Larry,

I *can* do that, but the purpose of posting was to find an alternative.

Sorry, didn't see that listed as an alterative. If you can't move the AP and you can't swap out antennas, your options are: Add another AP, see if there is interference from a 2.4Ghz device, such as your phone.
