I am kinda new to wireless. In the past I have added an 802.11b ap to my home network for my notebook. I local realty & land development company I have done a website for & setup a network for has built a campgrounds/RV park. They would like to add a dsl/wireless hotspot to cover the area around the office, this would not be part of the normal office network.

My question is it looks as if most hotspots are 802.11b is there any advantage to using G products for internet only access (improved range, more users) or is G just a waste of funds for dsl/internet only access.

Thanks.

It'd be a waste of fundage with that set up. SOHO DSL/cable internet is far slower than 1mb/s, the minimum throughput needed to run a 11b WLAN anyway.
