I have a Toshiba WRC 1000 router and 4 PCs
connected to it in my home. The other day,
two of the PCs are not able to connect to
the Internet at all. I am using a cable
modem for my access. The two machines that
are connected to Ports 1 and 2 are fine, but
Ports 3 and 4 seemed to have "stopped working".
I switched the cables from each PC around to
make sure it wasn't the cables. When I have
the cable from Port 1 plugged into either
3 or 4, it doesn't light up on the router.
I contacted Toshiba but they are no help at
all. They told me I must take it to a Toshiba
licensed repair dealer. They had no one to
give me any info. on the router or settings.
I unplugged it and plugged it back in, thinking
that may reset it, but that didn't work.
How can I test these ports myself?
