I have an enquiring mind today.....
I know that the Cisco 350 AP can be used in stand alone repeater mode, but does the 350 bridge have the same mode?
You guys are da juice, thanks.

I don't understand the question. The 350 bridge is a repeator.

Thanks Larry, I'll reword.
I want to extend the range of a WLAN using enterprise grade gear such as the Cisco 350. The repeater will be unwired, actually located in a vehicle. The logic is that it will be easier to connect from a client to the vehicle mounted AP and then to the fixed AP rather than trying to connect directly to the indoor wired AP. The vehicle will sit between the client and the fixed AP, repeating the signal. Its a challenging RF environment, and the vehicle maintains the requisite mobility.
I was just wondering if the 350 bridge can accomplish the same function.

The 350 bridge only connects devices through the Ethernet port when in non-root mode. I would use the Cisco 1200AP for the purpose you just stated. It will do exactly what you require and it is only $600. I had to do the same thing with a client also!

Tried to put in a link for you, but it keeps truncating it.

Thank you!!!
Are you recommending the 1200 primarily due to the dual band capability??
Cuz right now, its all about da money. An EBay Cisco 350 AP is much more attractive to me now than a new 1200.:D

Yeah, I was thinking of future proofing you. That's why you get the good deals on the 350s now! Your right the 350 will do just fine as well, for littler cost.
