More than one WLAN Client

I 'm now on my second Wi-Fi AP, and it seems that the same problem is happening to me all over again. My lan works fine so long as I only have one laptop on it, but within five minutes of booting up a second computer the lan goes bye bye. I have had this trouble with both a Linksys router and a Siemens router. Anyone out there have a similar experience and a solution for the problem?

What kind of Ip address are they getting. Any chance they are getting the same one? Maybe try one with a static address.
