Even with second generation WEP offerings, or 802.1x dynamic WEP, or virtual private networks, or SSL encrypted sites, there is no reason to ignore the power of simple authentication, authorization and accounting of users trying to access your wireless LAN.
Even before 802.1x gets ratified there are already RADIUS-compatible wireless access points in the market, including the $299 Apple Airport Base Station.
What is lacking though, is a simple solution for setting up the RADIUS authentication system. Most small-to-medium sized businesses do not have the resources, budget or know-how to implement a RADIUS authentication solution in-house.
I've been looking for a hosted RADIUS solution along the lines of what they claim to offer at www.aaahostedradius.com (http://www.aaahostedradius.com) , however the Bouncer product is not available yet.
Are there any other ASPs that offer a hosted RADIUS solution like this?
