Hi everybody I was tinking last night if you can modify the 2.4 ghz frecuency in your 802.11b card to one like 3.2ghz or 3.3ghz(like examle). It is to create a good quality WISP.
I know to you have to pay to use this frecuency, also you have to check if it is on sale. But I prefear to pay for use a frecuency spectrum and avoid interference of many devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens, blue tooth, hot spots, bla bla....
I know that excist 802.11a that work in 5.3ghz but it's going to be the same, many WISP are going to use this frecuency in the future!
I only want to get my frecuency, ONLY MINE!!!!!!! and use low price device like 802.11b for my cutomers!
I check the nextnetwireless.com web page and they have NLOS Networks on MMDS spectrum (2.5ghz). You can provide link to 2, 000 customers per cell. I belive it if you don't have interference in 802.11b/a networks!
Some Ideas to modify the frecuency of a 802.11b/a device?
