Hi, I use and have supplied the Dlink DCS-1000W camera, its a very good camera and does the job. It has bonus software for motion detection and will record instantly when motion is detected. Range is good too. Goes for around £400 in the Uk, a little expensive but does the Job!.

I imagine that using wireless cameras for watching areas without much potential security issues would be okay, but keep in mind that you can easily jam wireless cameras. That makes wireless cameras a bit risky for some applications (e.g., a security camera at a bank!).

the right product for a datacenter is the Netbots product line...if you're interested, contact me off-line...

Netbotz and Sensaphone are probably the best. The cheapest I've found is the stuff from itwatchdogs.com. Don't know if they ship to India, though! You might check with the folks at akcpinc.com for an affordable middle ground.
