What kind of area? Indoor, outdoor? Concrete walls or wood and drywall? How many square feet coverage by each AP? 802.a, 802.b? How many devices connect to your AP? What kinds of other electronic devices that emit EMR are in the area? roofy 04-14-2003, 12:30 PM we are in a concrete school, usuing 802.11b protocol, and dell true mobile access points with dell lattitude integrated wlan cards...for testing purposes the laptop and the access point are in the same room and cant connect...netstumbler on the laptop just shows signal spikes...we have no wep or mac filtering on the wap..the laptop and wap are both under static addressing. we have motorola walkie talkies all aroud the school.....what other stuff would constitute to emr? jatkins679 04-14-2003, 12:38 PM What exactly do you mean 'can't connect'? No connectivity between AP and latop at all? Can you ping the AP or any other point from your laptop?
