Dear All,
I want to apply Wi-Fi'IC into my embedded system,such as wireless monitor (Microsoft company invented it).I am puzzled by how to initialize Wi-Fi's IC.
Designing some electronic device is my hobby.This time, I want to use a DSP to control a Wi-Fi's IC ,so I can apply wireless function into my future design.
AS a good electronic engineer,I must decide how to achieve the system function before buying any IC.I have planned to using ISL3871( Intersil company's IC) and have read the brief
introduction.But as a personal action, I cant obtain the detail data(needing pay many money to buy the demo board).
Now, I try to learning 802.11 protocol to know what should I do to let a wireless design working.
I have followed the tutorials on the web and knowing what is 802.11 PHY and such basic knowledge.I know my DSP should sent a SSID to Wi-Fi's IC,But I still dont know how to initialize a Wi-Fi'IC.
Should I buy a 802.11b's copy from IEEE org??Ya, I can offer that price but I dont have a VISA (my country dont have it).lol
Anyone can give me some advice or tell me what my DSP should sent what information with sequence
to Wi-Fi's IC?I thought its must accord with 802.11b's protocol:)
