Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a driver that will let me capture Control and Management packets and let me examine the 802.11 header (i.e. monitor a WLAN) using any of the following devices:

1) Netgear MA101 Rev B - USB adapter that uses the Atmel AT76C503A chipset

2) Linksys WMP11 V 27 - PCI adapter that uses the Broadcom BCM4301 chipset

Pointers to either Windows or Linux drivers (either binary or source code) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Vinay

Neither of those manufactures have or even will release a permiscious (sniffer) version of their drivers. Someone may have written a small one for linux, that I do not know.

My advice, get a old Cisco off ebay or a Symbol and get a sniffer. www.sniffer.com
www.wildpackets.com
www.networkinstruments.com
