WLAN Deployments/Start-ups/jobs

Hello,

I would like to know where can I find information on the WiFi Jobs well somewhere local in detroit or around areas, We hear WiFi is everywhere, are there any hotpspots locations, promoters, future deployments in detroit/surrounding areas.
I would be really interested if there any Consulting companies looking for individuals like me for deployment/installation/support/management projects.

I have searched through yahoo groups, that site does not look like it has been updated, any help suggestions/follow up is appreciated.

Unfortunately, Starbuckcs, mcdonalds and majority of air ports are taken by other bigger players in this market. I am currently aiming for smaller coffee shops. In the futuer, when the time is right, I will try with coffee bean.

Well, the problem is I am not sure how the market will be in asia for many reasons. First thing is that, countries like korea and japan have had wifi connections way before united states have and is already covered, so really not a good place to get into. Also, I am unaware of china and other places like india, i duno when wifi tecchnology will be standardize in thtose areas.

Hello All,
I glad I found you guys, I am goin to be more trouble then you thought.
I want to start a radio channel a FM in my area. Iwant typically a 50M radius right now with future capabilities to extend...where do I start? just guide me to the sites,I will ask more ??? after I do my Homework..

Ambitious project. I think this might be the wrong forum and the only reason I know a little about the subject is from my amateur radio experience. Are you talking about 50 miles? If it is indeed 50 miles and you are referring to FM radio broadcast which uses VHF frequencies, you will need a tower of at least 200ft tall to get that kind of distance. VHF is line of sight propagation and if you are standing on the ground your line of sight is only about 7-10 miles because of the Earth bulge or the fact that it is round and you are trying to get past the horizon.

All the other information will be known to you when you pass your commercial FCC test so that you can broadcast legally.
