Could we discuss the Business Models for 802.11 "Service" Providers?

Could they survive independently?

The positive business model for a single WISP in a hotspot environment is difficult to define. It's beneficial to deploy a common WLAN infrastructure that supports both operational (private) and public applications in order to make the deployment cost effective.

Someone believes the nature of the wi-fi is free. The notable bankrupcy of mobile star is an example.

Mac today announced that they are going to provide one hour free access to WLA if the customers buy a combo meal.
