Hi all,
i'm testing EAP authentication in our test lab, and i'll need a free (windows or linux) software to sniff authentication frames between the station and AP. Any suggestions?

ethereal is fine for troubleshooting EAP. I'll install it sometimes on a RADIUS server to see what's coming in and going out, exactly.

***wait, just re-read your post. You'll need an 802.11b sniffer to catch the frames between a station an an AP.
I'm not aware of any good freeware ones. Your best bet is to sniff on the wire, and hope that your AP passes thru what it gets from the client to the radius server.

The product has really matured. They have an educational discount. It can sniff the air using Cisco or Orinoco cards.
Even if you need one commercially for its price it packs a lot of punch as compared to spending 3K on NAI or Wildpackets...
