Hi all,

I understand that the wireless stuff that I have here uses the same frequency ( or channel, something like that) as the microwave. However, I have always been told by my parents that standing to close to the microwave is not good for you. So, does that mean wireless is not good, looking from the health aspect?

There is very little power in wireless compared to a microwave.

Microwave ovens have been in use for over 40 years and there aren't any serious health issues about radiation hazards in the kitchen.

I wouldn't worry about wireless. Even the cell phone/cancer issue was debunked.

There have been a number of studies concerning the health effects of radiation from cell phones. The latest study found no connection -- however, that hasn't stopped research into the area. Here are good links for further information on the subject:

thanks for the links. After reading them, i decided to stay with my wireless network. =)
